Code Interpretations
The Secretary of State is authorized and empowered by Section 376(4) of Article 18 of the Executive Law and by Section 103(4) of Article 11 of the Energy Law, to issue written interpretations of the Uniform Code and the Energy Conservation Construction Code, respectively, upon written request of a permit applicant (or authorized representative) or an official responsible for the administration and enforcement of the provisions of such code.
Subsequent enforcement of the Code shall be consistent with such written interpretations.
