Application Assistance Providers (AAP) play an extremely important role in enrolling individuals into the Address Confidentiality Program. Organizations that sign up as AAPs are designated by the Secretary of State to help individuals apply and receive regular ongoing communications and resources from the ACP Office.
Overview
An Application Assistance Provider is a State, local, or nonprofit agency that provides counseling, referrals, shelter, or other specialized services to victims of domestic violence, sexual offense, human trafficking, and kidnapping; as well as organizations that provide services to reproductive health care services providers, employees, volunteers, and patients or immediate family members of reproductive health care services providers.
Staff from certified AAPs receive training from the Address Confidentiality Program on and how to help eligible individuals sign up for this free, potentially life-saving program.
For Current and Former Application Assistance Providers
The ACP logo got a big update in 2025! Please refer to the main ACP homepage for more information and continue to accept ID Cards with the old logo.
Application Assistance Providers and trained individual staff members are certified for 2 years, and once expired, will need to renew with the ACP. If your organization’s AAP status has expired, please reach out to ACP to discuss renewal and training requirements.
