Estuary Economy
Long Island is home to one of the two largest concentrations of commercial and recreational vessels, marinas, and other water-dependent businesses in the State of New York. The local economy and its future is dependent on the development and strengthening of commercial and recreational fishing, beach and boating activities and the continued transportation and service activities that support them.
