ALBANY - The New York Department of State will host a public meeting of the State Fire Prevention and Building Code Council on Thursday January 15, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at the Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller Empire State Plaza Convention Center, Albany.
The State Fire Prevention and Building Code Council will discuss future updates of the State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code (Uniform Codes) and State Energy Conservation Construction Code (Energy Code). The Code Council may also consider the adoption of a rule amending the Uniform Code by adding provisions relating to buildings and structures where “sparkling devices” are manufactured, stored, sold or used.
The public has the right to attend this meeting.
The meeting will also be webcast live and taped for later viewing online.
