Course Overview
Local governments are charged with enforcing the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code and the Energy Conservation Construction Code. By working together, neighboring municipalities may easily provide effective enforcement of the Code while controlling costs. This program provides an overview of what is required for intermunicipal enforcement of the Code and a few successful examples of countywide code enforcement and cooperation by multiple local governments in enforcement.
