City of Amsterdam Local Waterfront Revitalization Program

Overview

The City of Amsterdam Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) is a locally prepared comprehensive land and water use plan for the City's natural, public, and developed waterfront resources along the Mohawk River and the Canal System.

The City of Amsterdam LWRP provides a comprehensive framework within which critical waterfront issues can be addressed, and planned waterfront improvement projects can be pursued and implemented. The Amsterdam LWRP was adopted by the City's Common Council on November 17, 1992 and approved by the New York State Secretary of State on February 22, 1993.
