City of Beacon Local Waterfront Revitalization Program

Overview

The City of Beacon Local Waterfront Revitalization Program is a locally prepared comprehensive land and water use plan for the City's natural, public, and developed waterfront resources along the Hudson River and Fishkill Creek.

The City of Beacon LWRP refines and supplements the State's Coastal Management Program and provides a comprehensive framework within which critical waterfront issues can be addressed, and planned waterfront improvement projects can be pursued and implemented. The City's LWRP was originally approved in 1992, and subsequently amended in 2011 to better reflect current conditions and issues, as well as to include a Harbor Management Plan (HMP) to better manage water uses. The approval history of City of Beacon LWRP was published in a final public notice.
