Village of Croton-on-Hudson Local Waterfront Revitalization Program

Overview

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson Local Waterfront Revitalization Program is a locally prepared comprehensive land and water use plan for the Village's natural, public, and developed waterfront resources along the Hudson and Croton Rivers.

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson LWRP refines and supplements the State's Coastal Management Program and provides a comprehensive framework within which critical waterfront issues can be addressed, and planned waterfront improvement projects can be pursued and implemented. The original Village of Croton-on-Hudson LWRP was approved in 1992. An amendment to The Village of Croton-on-Hudson LWRP was adopted by resolution of the Village Board of Trustees on August 14, 2023, and approved by the New York State Secretary of State on March 26, 2024, pursuant to Article 42 of the Executive Law. Submission of the LWRP Amendment to NOAA’s Office of Coastal Management is underway.
