Village of Sag Harbor Local Waterfront Revitalization Program

Village of Sag Harbor Local Waterfront Revitalization Program

Overview

The Village of Sag Harbor Local Waterfront Revitalization Program is a locally prepared comprehensive land and water use plan for the Town's natural, public, and developed waterfront resources along the Outer Sag Harbor and Inner Sag Harbor Coves and Sag Harbor.

The Village of Sag Harbor LWRP refines and supplements the State's Coastal Management Program and provides a comprehensive framework within which critical waterfront issues can be addressed, and planned waterfront improvement projects can be pursued and implemented. The Village's LWRP was originally approved in 1986 and subsequently amended in 1999 and 2006 to better reflect local conditions and issues, expand the coastal area to incorporate the entire Village, and include a Harbor Management Plan (HMP) to better manage water uses. The approval history of Village of Sag Harbor LWRP was published in a final public notice.
