Overview of Med Spas
The New York Department of State warns consumers to be cautious about seeking Med Spa services from unlicensed entities after a statewide investigation into businesses providing unauthorized medical spa services. Phase one of the initial probe began in New York City. The Department’s Division of Licensing, partnering with the New York City Office of Oversight and Investigations, New York State Education Department and the New York State Department of Health, inspected appearance enhancement businesses offering medical procedures, including the injection of Botox, fillers and intravenous infusions.
