Pursuant to General Business Law 399-j, the Division of Consumer Protection offers the following resources to support safety standards for anchoring, securing and counter-weighting movable soccer goals to prevent injuries and fatalities resulting from improperly secured portable soccer goals. According to Anchored For Safety, a soccer goal safety awareness organization, 42 deaths and 59 injuries have occurred since 1979 due to movable soccer goals.
