Appearance Enhancement and Barber Licensing System UPDATE
The new online Appearance Enhancement and Barber Licensing System is now live. You can now apply for a new license and schedule your exams online. Before filing a renewal, scheduling an exam on an existing application or making a change to an existing license, you will need to claim your license. Overview
A waxing license allows you to provide for a fee, or any consideration or exchange, whether direct or indirect, services to enhance the appearance of the face, neck, arms, legs, or shoulders of a human being by the removal of hair by the use of depilatories, waxes or tweezing but shall not include the practice of electrology. It is the responsibility of licensees to understand the Appearance Enhancement Law.
Term of licensure is four years
